In the Beginning...
M@cGal Design Studio was established in August 2001. We've been partnering with small business owners throughout the Denver Metro Area for almost a decade. We are proud to announce that many of our original clients are still working with us. We'd like to think that this dedication roots farther down than loyalty. We treat each client as if they are the only one by showering them with our full attention. We firmly believe in open communication and partnering with clients during the design process. It's the only way to ensure solid and successful results. Our continued success is attributed to our growing and loyal client base who reward us with the best kind of advertising ~ word of mouth referrals.
We sweep the nation, as well as Canada, for the best printing vendors who offer high-standards and quality on their printing at affordable rates. We can deliver cost-effective solutions for the small business owner. We know small businesses and cater to their challenging budgets.
About the Founder
The Founder and Creative Mind behind M@cGal Design Studio, Francie Billings, received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design in 1996 from Eastern Illinois University. Upon graduation she uprooted from her small southern Illinois community of 500 residents and relocated to Chicago where she began building her portfolio and expertise from 1996 - 1999 in advertising and publishing firms. Francie's expertise stems from working at companies such as Life Fitness (Intern), Publications International Ltd. (Assistant Art Director, Cookbooks), Davies Pacheco & Murphy Advertising (Graphic Designer) and MEDEC Publishing/AdvanStar (Graphic Designer). Collaborating with the creative teams and learning from other designers from these highly creative businesses is what brings Francie's talent full circle in M@cGal Design Studio.
After three exciting years in Chicago, Francie relocated to Denver, CO, in 1999, with her husband, CJ, where she taught Graphic Design courses on the collegiate level at Platt College for 2.5 years while also holding an Art Director position at Wiesner Publishing in Centennial, Colorado. This occurred simultaneously while she was networking through The South Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce to build her current client base and launch what is now M@cGal Design Studio. Francie and CJ have two young children, Erica and Carter, and reside in Parker, Colorado. (back to top)
What's with the Name?
A frequently asked question is "Where did you come up with the name Mac Gal?". To be honest, "we" didn't! It was merely a funny nick-name that Francie received while finishing up her Bachelor of Arts degree at Eastern Illinois University from her classmates. Because Francie didn't like working on PCs, and refused to work on them, her classmates started calling her the Mac Gal. And, it stuck. (back to top)
